About

Dr. Sinah Simas is the owner and sole practitioner of Equilibrium Physical Therapy. She has her Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts (2015) and became a bonafide Husky when she graduated from University of Washington’s School of Medicine with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy (2018).

After receiving her doctorate, Sinah went on to enhance her skill set with a residency in orthopedic manual therapy from the Ola Grimsby Institute. This program culminated in Sinah obtaining her Certification in Orthopedic Manual Therapy (COMT) and her endorsed license to perform spinal manipulations in Washington State.

Following several years of working clinically in the Seattle area, Sinah began Equilibrium Physical Therapy. Her vision is to provide a physical therapy and performance clinic where each client is given timely and tailored treatment specific to the individual’s mobility and performance goals without the constraints of productivity requirements and shortened sessions as seen in many physical therapy settings.

During treatments, Sinah focuses on up to date and clinically effective interventions to get her clients back to their desired physical activities as soon as possible. She enjoys using her hands-on manual therapy skills to help improve mobility and relieve pain, but she also emphasizes functional movement patterns, strength training, and postural awareness in her treatments.

In addition to her experience with general orthopedic conditions, Sinah takes a great interest in sports and post operative rehabilitation and has worked with many individuals to manage their pre and post-operative recovery. After years of playing soccer and recovering from several hip and knee surgeries herself, she understands the importance of a supportive orthopedic team when trying to get back to activity. In order to facilitate a quicker recovery, Sinah has invested in further training in blood flow restriction and rehabilitation methods for lifting athletes.

When not in the clinic, Sinah enjoys getting outdoors as much as possible - whether it’s skiing in the backcountry or admiring vistas while hiking - she loves it all. To keep herself strong and round out her fitness routine, she is an avid olympic-style lifter, makes HIIT programs for herself and her spouse, and stays limber with yoga classes.
